After Robert Peacock's Death

The Robert Peacock family appears in the 1891 Census in Monck Township (this is Muskoka District but is grouped with Simcoe records in 1891). Sometime after 1891, the family relocated to Scotia (Junction) where they ran a hotel. (Click on the above title for a history of Perry Township.) It would seem that there were business and employment opportunities near railroad development.
By 1911, Robert Peacock's widow had remarried and the family was living in Bracebridge.

There is an Edmond b, Sept 5, 1880 with the Burk family in Perry Twnsp and this
Edward, b. Sept 5, 1879 with the Peacocks.

Louise appears with both families. Andy is living with Wm Brown and his
second wife in the 1901 census.)

The above photo is a photocopy from Ralph Peacock. It was taken sometime after 1901. The boy is probably Harvey who was born in 1899. The shop was on the hill toward Holiday House.
