In August, I posted the 1871 and 1881 census records for Monk
Township, Muskoka, Ontario showing William Brown, Sr. and
William Brown, Jr., the husband of Catherine Peacock, the
eldest and only daughter of Thomas Peacock and Sarah Smith
(as far as we know).
In the 1881 census, Catherine's teenaged brother, Robert, was
living with them. In 1891, we find the Browns on the same land,
but now Robert Peacock is married to Mary Moffat and they
have three children and are living next door to William and
Catherine.

(Catherine Brown died in 1897 and her husband remarried
Susannah sometime before 1901. The adopted daugher, Eliza,
is probably Susannah's from a previous marriage.
Robert Peacock died Dec, 1899 at Scotia Junction; therefore,
his family moved from Monk Twp sometime after this census
was taken in 1891 to Scotia Junction in the Huntsville area.
However, after his death, some of his children lived with William
Brown, Jr. as shown below.)
1901 Census Simcoe Monk (taken March 31, 1901)

1911 census Monk Township
(Con. A lot 15 – this is the same lot and concession
as William Brown’s land. Perhaps John Peacock,
the brother of Catherine, bought Wm Brown Sr.'s land
after he was widowed. Or he bought Robert Peacock's
land after the death of Robert in 1899. The Thomas below
is the 4th son of John Peacock and Mary Ellen Oliver and
he married Emma Forsyth.)
