Joe Peacock died on Saturday, April 18, 1964 in Orillia Hospital from a heart attack. Funeral from Butler's (Obituary states Doolittle's) Funeral Parlour on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock to St. James Cemetery. Minister was Anglican. He was in his 71st year. Has two sons; Stewart and wife and three children, and Ted and wife and children attended the funeral.

[Attended the funeral] Bill & Gertie Kennedy,.... Mrs. G. Peacock and Murray,....... his (Joe's) sister Kit from St Catharines, Alma Peacock from Bracebridge and Hilda Evans and Harold Peacock from Huntsville. The flowers were lovely.
Pall bearers were Elwood Brennan, Murray Peacock, Bill Kennedy, Harold Peacock & Orvil's son and Bruce's son. Died April 18th 1964 buried on Tuesday, April 21st, 1964.
