Family of Tommy Peacock
Contributeed by ST, this photo shows the family of Tommy Peacock (Emma Forsyth) and his mother, Mrs. Mary Ellen Peacock (widow of John Peacock). The children are: standing on stump - Alvin; sitting on rock - Alma (born 1908); in front of Grandma Peacock - Gladys and Orma. About 1916.
In 1911, Thomas Peacock was living on a farm at Concession A, Lot 15 in Monk Township (across from the Falkenburg Union Cemetery) before moving into the town of Bracebridge. It was previously the farm of William Brown, the husband of Catherine Peacock who was Tommy Peacock's aunt. This might be that farm, as the log structure which was the home of John and Mary Ellen Peacock did not have a porch and the entrance was at ground level.
