1851 Census - Cheltenham, England
The 1851 Census in England was taken in the spring of 1851. The census that is often called the 1851 in Canada was not taken until January, 1852. Therefore, Joseph Brown appears in both censuses which gives us an immigration date within months.
Joseph and his family appear in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. He is shown as a 'plasterer' as he is in the 1861 in King Twp, Ontario.
